Petico is an e-commerce platform offering customized pet products such as portraits, mugs, and bowls. Customers upload a photo of their pet and select their preferred graphic style and filters. Before purchasing, they can preview a prototype of the pet portrait. After checkout, an artist creates a custom digital portrait, which is then transferred onto the selected product.
For Petico, I designed both a web app and a mobile app, following a full design process that included Discover, Define, Ideate, Design, and Test phases to ensure a seamless and user-centered experience.
Project Overview:
For Petico, I led the UX design of both the web and mobile e-commerce platforms. I started with UX research and created low-fidelity grey wireframes, which I tested with users over Zoom. Based on feedback, I iterated and developed high-fidelity wireframes for a unique product customization flow and a smooth checkout experience. In total, I built 29 web pages in Figma, ensuring full responsiveness across desktop, tablet, and mobile screens.
Project Research:
I conducted surveys and interviews with pet owners to understand their preferences for pet portraits, graphic design styles, and home décor tastes. I also researched trends in the humanization of pets and evaluated the market potential for custom pet products.
Insights from this research informed both the product offerings and the overall design direction of the platform.

Checkout Experience
I designed the checkout to increase conversions and maximize upsells. When a customer adds a product, the flow encourages them to purchase an additional item - like a mug featuring the same pet portrait - at a discounted price. The checkout is streamlined and provides clear confirmation of purchase, ensuring a smooth, satisfying experience for customers.
Mobile App Design
I also created low and high-fidelity wireframes for the mobile app, which is a mini version of the e-commerce platform. The app design is fully responsive and optimized for mobile users, with 25 screens covering product customization, shopping, checkout, and account management.
